MC+A SharePoint Feeder for Google Search Appliance
The SFGSA is a .NET based service that utilizes the Google Search Appliance Feeder API feeder which uses the SharePoint .NET APIs to crawl and feed meta-data-urls to a Google Search Appliance. This service feeder framework does not have the limitations caused by the SiteData web service bug. We offer many different versions depending on the version of SharePoint deployed. This .NET application was developed as a result of MC+A's participation in the Google Enterprise Professional Program and is now available for all both version 2.0 and 3.0 based SharePoint sites
But Google Enterprise has a SharePoint Connector?
The Google Enterprise connector is based on Web Services, as is our GSS. There are sparsely documented bugs in the SiteData web service. The SiteData web service does not work for SharePoint web applications with over 1000 sub-sites. The GSS has completed a long beta. The release was recently made available.
